MINDFUL LIVING

Special Interest Report - taken from Radio Interview by Kelly Higgins-Devine at 612 ABC Brisbane, 18 July 2012.
If you are the sort of person who is always looking ahead and thinking about what has to be done, or perhaps you dwell on the past, things that have come and gone but which continue to occupy your thoughts.
Do you find it difficult to focus on the here and now ...
For instance, do you really enjoy the food you are eating when you have somewhere to rush to after eating, or something troubling you on your mind ?
Do you find it hard to give others your full attention when they speak to you .. whether it is a family member, friend or someone you don't know well?
What about when there are lots of other family members around, or people at work vying to get your individual attention? Do they know you really care about them, as well as what they are saying?
Then you need to practice "mindfulness" .. so you do not get over-stressed and may be drop in your own performance while trying to meet all the demands you have at any moment on your precious time.
This new book introduces you to the principles and practice of mindfulness. It also outlines the emerging scientific research that supports the effectiveness of adopting mindfulness as an approach to easier and more effective daily living.
